Today we got to go to the leprosy colony and give medical aide to the patients who live there. Each patient had to go to each station starting with someone who cuts off their old bandages, then they move to the washing station where we clean all the dead skin around their ulcers. Then they move to the oiling station where they put oil around the wounds massage it for them. Then they move to the doctor who actually cuts out the ulcers and then they send them to get new bandages put on. I admire these people so much because you can see and feel the pain that they are in when they go through this process and it is simply amazing! I admire them so! I don't have many pictures because they only have one person who takes photos for the day so I still have to get them from her but hopefully I will be able to post them soon. :)
Our group was lucky because we got to go to the colony where they get to practice art and they have an art school. It was amazing to see all of these paintings made by these wonderful people who have lost fingers and other parts of the body because of this disease. I saw a picture in the room we were in and it said, 'From Pain to Paint'. I love these people! I bought two of the paintings that I was looking at there and I got a picture with one of the artists! It was an amazing experience!.:)

Here is the amazing artist and the two pictures I bought. :)

And also some pictures of playtime because, like I said before, it is my favorite time of day. :)
